Food Process Centre. A key part of the company’s relationships with customers, and its policy of customer support from initial concept to maximising plant performance, is the Food Process Centre where customers can build profitable, innovative brands.
Here, research and production scale equipment is available to enable customers to develop new products and processes, produce samples for test marketing, conduct feasibility trials and train staff: total confidentiality is assured.

The world of confectionery. APV Baker has almost a century of experience in the design, manufacture and commissioning of complete plants, with over 450 systems operating world-wide. They are used to make a wide selection, from hard-candy, lollipops, butterscotch, milk boils, toffee and caramels to fudge, fondant crèmes and jellies. Centre-fillings, multi-colours, stripes, whirls, layers and inclusion are all available to bring variety and eye catching appeal to the market place.
Biscuits, cookies and crackers. APV Baker has the largest installed base, the widest range of equipment, and the greatest depth of resources for the supply of biscuit processing machinery. From dough mixing to ovens which harness the latest scientific technologies, the APV Baker capability covers every conceivable type of biscuit and value-added option. As well as offering ‘best in class’ equipment for each key process stage, there is constant development in new end-products and processes.
Cereal and snack. APV Baker’s world-class cereal cookers, twin-screw extruders, flaking rolls and toasters, make the company the preferred partner of market-leading manufacturers of high value cereal products. Every type of breakfast cereal is produced, as well as health/breakfast bars, and cereal based baby foods. APV Baker has also pioneered end-product development and process technology to meet the expanding and rapidly changing needs of the snacks market, particularly in the field of twin-screw extrusion.
Lifetime services. APV Baker’s Performance Services group is dedicated to maximising the overall effectiveness of existing plant. Our approach delivers maximum savings by reducing waste from scrap, downtime, give-away and over-manning. It does so in the shortest possible time, and sustains savings effectively long-term. The Customer Services team provides day-to-day support through maintenance, servicing and development of existing equipment.
